Flip the Library: Hooper-Renwick, Jason DiFranco

Jason DiFranco is the Director of Development and Community Partnerships at Gwinnett County Public Library. One of the projects he has been working on is gathering support for the restoration of the historic Hooper-Renwick building, which housed Gwinnett County’s only high school for Black children until desegregation in 1968. The building will be converted into a 25,000-square-foot museum and house Gwinnett County Public Library’s new Lawrenceville branch. Hooper-Renwick Legacy Preservation Committee chair and vice-chair Theresa Bailey and Joyce Moore also join the podcast to talk more about this important project and their place in its history.
